🎬Cuddling Cats Kwazi and Uli: Cat Video Channel

The Cuddling Cats Kwazi and Uli Youtube channel features Kwazi, Uli and their formerly feral sister, Ginger Grrrl.

Mewla here. We’ve had some readers ask about the Cuddling Cats Kwazi and Uli video channel, so hope to answer your questions here. Our Youtube video channel highlights the relationship between black cat Kwazi, tabby cat Uli and red-headed Ginger Grrrl, with the aim of making you smile

Kwazi and Uli. the cats that “gotta cuddle!”

How did the cats come into your lives?

When we entered the cat room at the Hawaiian Humane Society, we planned to adopt two kittens. We knew we wanted a black cat, and chose Kwazi right away. Then we looked for a second, special cat who would be a good match for Kwazi.

We tried a few cats before we placed tabby cat Uli next to Kwazi. The two boys cuddled right away. Both kittens were two-months old but were not from the same litter. Kwazi had been a feral kitten, and Uli came from a house.

The kitties soon became best friends who sparred, clowned and snuggled together everyday. When we posted a video showing the cats cuddling, it went viral. Lots of people wanted to know more about cuddling cats Kwazi and Uli. That’s when we began sharing videos about the cats’ lives more regularly and meeting other cat lovers on our online cat community.

We like to encourage others who are seeking pets to find their forever friends at humane shelters. Many shelters have too many animals to care for, and pets there are at risk for being put to sleep. To see a video celebrating how adoption saved Kwazi and Uli’s lives and gave them a chance for a wonderful relationship together, click here.

Ginger Grrrl was a feral cat who showed up in our neighborhood in 2020. We realized she needed to be spayed and cared for, so got her veterinary care and let her move into our garage. To see a video of Ginger getting her furever home, click here.

Ginger won our hearts, and we realized that, for her to be safe, she needed to be an indoor cat. We invited her into our home full-time, and she has never wanted to step outside again.

Ginger Grrrl chose to adopt us.

You asked about our cats’ funny habits or qualities.

Our cats have more funny habits and qualities than we can keep track of!

Kwazi and Uli’s main cute habit is, of course, the cuddling. At least once a day, Kwazi and Uli have their arms around each other, snuggling. Sometimes they place their paws together or cross their legs over one another’s. Other times they curl their tails together.

Uli is very vocal, and loves to have conversations with us. One of Uli’s funny habits is that, when we prepare food in the kitchen, he meows at us from his chair in the living room. Even if he appears to be sleeping when we prepare food in the kitchen, he will make a comment or two while otherwise laying motionless in his chair. We still don’t know what in the world he is saying, lol.

unique habit of Ginger’s (that was upsetting) was that she climbed up onto neighborhood roofs. She’d spend time on roofs looking into neighbors’ windows and chasing birds. Then, she’d jumping down to the ground (refusing to come to our arms when we got out the ladder and climbed to the roof to ‘save’ her). After a while, when she was on the roof, we learned to pull out our car and park it below her, so she would have a shorter distance to jump.

Kwazi has several unique habits. One is that he likes to dunk mouse toys and fuzzy balls in his water bowl to wash them. For a while, after he washed his toys, he swatted the soaked toys under our stove. We finally put up a cardboard barrier to prevent toys from accumulating. We were surprised that Kwazi seems very upset when he could no longer shoot toys underneath the stove, poor guy!

Another funny habit of Kwazi is his panther-like ‘lurking’ from any perch. Regardless of the location — the cat tree, a bed, ottoman, and even his humans’ laps — Kwazi loves to dangle his arms and legs over the side like a rag doll.

Kwazi is a lurking mini-panther.

We were thrilled when these talented cats joined together with Mewla to create this website.

Our hodgepodge group continues to make YT videos. We hope that Kwazi, Uli and Ginger put a smile on your face today.
